Known for its remote Pacific location, towering volcanic mountains, and beautiful beaches, Hawaii is a state with much to be explored. Located 2,000 miles from the mainland, 1.4 million residents call this state home, often working in the agriculture, tourism, or military sectors.  With a proud local culture that has a strong value on its native roots and values, the islands of Hawaii have put an emphasis on sustainability for their communities. The huge tourism industry has wreaked havoc on the ability of local communities to survive and thrive. PPM partners with local churches that are rooted in the community and in every mission trip, we prioritize engaging with ongoing, sustainable ministries. Although Hawaii has its uniqueness, the ministry of PPM on the islands is consistent with our desire to build up, encourage, and assist the local Church. Your team will be partnered directly alongside a local church as you work to serve those who call Hawaii home. As one of the most diverse states in the US, your team will have the opportunity to work with people from many backgrounds as you serve and love those around you. Ministries might include service projects, kids ministry, homeless ministry, sports ministry, and more. Our desire is to utilize your team's skill-sets to uplift local initiatives that are already active within the communities. No matter your background or experience - there will be great opportunities to serve on your trip.

We will partner with Grady and Becky Pickett who believe their most honored role is that of a conduit of Jesus. They believe that without Jesus we can leave people with a full belly and an empty heart. He promised us that through us would flow rivers of living water when we come together, as conduits of the Holy Spirit. Grady and Becky have been missionaries in Iraq for many years; they have led many teams on missions in Iraq and we are excited to partner with them. We will be going into various regions in Iraq where people have not heard the Gospel of Jesus. We will be spending time with the locals, showing them the love of Jesus through our words and actions. We will be building relationships alongside missionaries that are already there. We will be doing a lot of praying and asking the Holy Spirit to break strongholds and open doors for us. This is a unique opportunity to take the Gospel into the 10/40 window and reach the unreached.

EI is committed to sharing the Gospel and following up with those who have made decisions for Christ. Romania has the largest population of Roma (Gypsy) people in Europe — an ethnic group often despised by society. Many Roma families struggle to survive the harsh winter months as they lack the basic necessities such as warm clothing, adequate housing, firewood, and food. The Appalachian region is an amazing place for ministry! It is an area rich in natural resources and beautiful landscapes. The people of Appalachia are incredibly humble, yet equally proud of their heritage and lifestyle. They are a hard-working, close-knit, family-first, hospitality-oriented group of people. The Appalachian people not only have to battle the geographical isolation of their location, but their hardship has been perpetuated by the large loss of jobs due to the decline of mining, steel, and several manufacturing industries. The shortage of gainful employment has led to severe poverty in many communities, and as a result, the effects of substance abuse, food insecurity, and homelessness have taken their toll. The hearts of many people have been fractured, and “hopelessness” is an all-too-common term used by many. Our mission teams serve alongside local churches and ministries in both urban and rural settings across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Kentucky. Ministry Opportunities Include: Service Projects, Construction Projects, Children’s Ministry, Mercy Ministry.

You can choose which ministries your team are best suited for prior to serving in Belize. With our genuine partnerships already in place, you will find yourself encouraging a pastor in sustainable ways that will continue to impact the community after you have returned home. We will be returning to the same community every year to continue to encourage the local pastor. We know that both the lives of the individuals on your Belize missions team as well as the lives of those you serve will be impacted as you dedicate and use your talents, gifts, and abilities for the Lord.
