Itown BLUFFTON has a Foster Care Ministry. We believe God has called and equipped our church to serve the foster families in our community. A few ways we serve the community is with a Foster Care Closet,  Foster Parent Support Group, and outreach opportunities. This circle is a serving circle for our Foster Care Ministry. During the next few months there will be many different opportunities to serve and by joining this circle you will be the first to be notified of every opportunity to serve with a mission to help grow this ministry, spread awareness of ITOWN’s Foster Ministry, and most importantly spread the love of Jesus! If you feel called to serve and this ministry interests you, we encourage you to join! You will not be required to serve at every event and you will have the freedom to pick and choose what missions to serve at. Here are some examples of serving needs (but there will likely be more) Providing child care for Foster support group (this is once a week 5:45-6:45) Foster Closet organization and inventory. Delivery of closet items to Foster Families Outreach opportunities to DCS workers and Foster Care Families. We are so blessed to get the opportunity to serve and love on kids and families in this capacity in our community.

“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever” - 1 Cor. 9:25 The Girls Tri Harder circle will be training weekly with the goal of competing in triathlon races. You can pick the races that fit your schedule and budget. Every Tuesday we will meet at Forest Park (Noblesville) for run and bike sessions or LivRite Fitness (Fishers) for pool swims or in case of inclement weather. There will be a promo/discount for our circle at LivRite! Don’t worry if you are not experienced in one or all of the three disciplines: swimming, biking, running. Duathlons or Aquabike options are available. I was brand new to the sport and participated in a training group last year. It inspired me to want to help other women learn the sport and experience community at the same time! I am an experienced swimmer, average biker, and a turtle runner. I’m just a girl who likes to set and crush goals asking for a group of friends to train with! What to bring: running shoes, bike, swimsuit, goggles, and a water bottle. A full list of suggested items will be provided at our first meeting along with weekly training plans for beginner, intermediate, advanced levels. Light snacks and refreshment provided at the end of training sessions. Cost: Typically $65-75 per race to compete (optional- not required to participate in weekly training) Annual Membership to USA Triathlon: $60 or pay $15 for a day pass per race (optional- only required if you are registering for a tri). Race Options (not required to be in the circle- you don’t have to compete at all- you can just train then volunteer at the races- or be our team mascot/cheerleader) Indy Tri Series at Eagle Creek Park (500 meter swim, 10 mile bike; 3 mile run) Saturday June 8, Saturday July 20, and/or Saturday August 17. It began with the book, The Power of a Praying Parent, and it is continuing as a time to pray for our precious loved ones. Whether you are a mom (through natural birth, adoption or step parenting), foster parent, grandmother, aunt or just have children in your life regardless of their ages, we invite you to come pray with us. We will meet the first and third Saturday of every month at a coffee shop. We will start with a short devotional, share our hearts, and spend time praying. We expect to go around and an hour and a half. The opposite Saturdays (second and forth Saturday) will be a set up to meet for breakfast or lunch to have a time of sharing, relaxing, socializing and ending the time in prayer. The method encourages us to dig deeper into Scripture and see more than if we were to simply read. The word “SOAP” is an acronym which stand for Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer.

This Circle will be very informal and kid friendly. We will arrange to meet somehwere we can eat and keep everyone in the know throughout the week. The format will be very open but we will take time for prayer requests each week. This is a call to enjoy food and fellowship together as a family of believers! No childcare is provided but kids are welcome to participate in every part and we plan to meet near playgrounds, bowling, or have card games for kids when possible if they choose otherwise.

What's Your God Language?

We will engage in activities that explore the nine spiritual temperaments/sacred pathways (such as Caregiver, Enthusiast, Contemplative, Traditional, etc.) to help us discover our primary temperament and appreciate the other types. Activities are derived from the book "What's Your God Language," but purchase is not required as we will not be reading it together. This is an interactive and experiential group with activities like journaling, prayer walk, foot washing, "dance party," nature walk, discussions, and so on. The meeting location is in central Carmel. Meetings will last about 90 minutes.
