Other weeks we will be making blankets or stuffed animals for the children in foster homes. Whether you love baking and crafting or not, this is the circle for you! We are open to all ages, married, single & retired. We meet from 6:30-about 8:30 every Tuesday. We start off with about 20 minutes of simply visiting, connecting, and snacks. Then we listen to 1 or 2 Christian praise and worship songs to help focus our minds and hearts. We open with prayer and then dig into the topic of the night. Topics discussions and studies are usually 1-3 part sessions. If there is a topic you are interested in learning more about, let us know. We are discussing the 7 Crucial Truths Every Christian Should Know and Believe. In the next few weeks, we'll be addressing some End Times Events, The Kingdom of God is at Hand, Dangerous Teachings of Progressive Christianity, and more. Sometimes we go out into the community and talk with people about our relationship with Christ and other times, we meet at a local restaurant for breakfast. We do not provide childcare. There are no special Books to purchase.

We will meet weekly. Every other Thursday, we will meet and do a different activity. For example, go to K-1 indoor racing, do the nickel plate bike trail, or even just get together and play some sand volleyball. We will always do dinner too. The cost will vary week to week depending on the activity, but shouldn’t be more than $50 each time. On the opposite week we will do a more casual, no cost activity to offset the cost of the outings. We will open and close the activities in prayer. This is simply an opportunity for “DINK” couples of the same value system to get to meet and spend time together. My husband and I have been in this area for a year and are so ready to meet people in a similar life stage and value system. DINK is just a play on “Dual Income No Kids” which is just a funny popular category for people in a certain stage of life. We aren’t opposed to people with kids being in the group at all, but that is a very different stage of life!

It began with the book, The Power of a Praying Parent, and it is continuing as a time to pray for our precious loved ones. Whether you are a mom (through natural birth, adoption or step-parenting), foster parent, grandmother, aunt or just have children in your life regardless of their ages, we invite you to come pray with us. We will meet the first and third Saturday of every month at a coffee shop for time of prayer. During those time we will start with a short devotional, share our hearts, and spend time praying. We expect to go around and an hour to an hour and a half. On the second and forth Saturdays we will meet for breakfast or lunch for a time of fellowship, sharing, and close with a prayer for our precious loved ones. Our first meeting will be Saturday, September 7.

First circle will begin September 15th. Parenting from the Tree of Life is not a bible study nor a parenting “discipline” class. However, it is wholly based on the Bible and infused with scriptural principles throughout the class. The ultimate purpose of the class is to teach parents how to raise “Morally Responsible Children” in an effort for those children to ultimately know how to reflect God, in all His goodness, to a lost world. This class will help you to see the proper order in your life of: 1. Putting God first in your home 2. Putting your Marriage as your 2nd priority after God and 3. Putting the moral training/discipline of your children as your 3rd priority as a natural extension of your Family Identity under the Godhood of Christ. This 18 week class will help parents of 3-12 year olds to understand how to instruct their growing children in the way of the Lord. This course lays the groundwork for parenting no matter where you are in the process. Parenting from the Tree of Life is designed to take parents through the process of building a loving family unit by raising biblically responsive and morally responsible children. It is imperative that both parents attend the class together. This class begins with the Fall Semester and will extend into the Spring Semester. We will build in breaks to try to accommodate vacation/Holiday schedules. There will be kid friendly snacks provided each week. We will do our best to end on time to allow families to enjoy dinner on their own after class each week. Childcare provided for a fee of $15 per child per week and includes snacks and drinks. Children must be potty trained and able to handle stairs. Please communicate with the leaders at least 5 days in advance if you plan on bringing your children with you.
